texas brewers need your help to fix outdated laws that Hinder small businesses across the Lone star state
The craft beer industry contributes over $4.5 BILLION to the Texas economy, creating more than 30,000 small business and manufacturing jobs. However, when it comes to breweries per capita, Texas ranks 47th. It’s a huge state, and there is ample room for growth in the industry, but we must address the anti-competitive laws that are holding small brewers back.
CraftPAC is committed to supporting Safe and Rational Modernization of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code, which will provide small and independent brewers with greater access to the market. By modernizing these regulations, we can create pathways to new markets for breweries across the state, reduce the wasteful inefficiencies that breweries face during expansion, and build a healthier industry that generates more jobs and offers greater consumer choice to legal-age Texans with a thirst for quality beverages.
During the 2023 Texas Legislative Session, bills were filed in both the Texas House and Senate to grant Direct-to-Consumer shipping and delivery privileges to Texas brewers, just as they are already enjoyed by Texas wineries, restaurants, bars, package stores, and even third-party delivery apps. The fight continues, and you can be a crucial part of the effort to bring Texas beer laws into the 21st century. Support CraftPAC and sign the petition for Direct-to-Consumer shipping for Texas breweries, helping thirsty Texans across the Lone Star State gain access to the craft beer they love.
